We are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of molecular science by investigating novel compounds that possess distinctive electronic properties and topological structures. We invite motivated and talented young scientists to embark on research ventures across diverse disciplines, including organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, and materials science. Exceptional PhD candidates can apply for various scholarships, such as ISEP Scholarship, NUS Research Scholarship, A*Star Graduate Scholarship and SINGA scholarship. Should you require any assistance, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Wu via email.

Extended zethrenes showing a stable helical structure with an end-to-end twist of up to 201 degrees! The paper was just published in Chemical Science as part of the special issue to celebrate the 130th anniversary of Wuhan University. Congratulations to Sun Zhitao!

Radical-radical coupling and radical-mediated coupling approaches for the synthesis of monolayer and bilayer graphene fragments! We also observed an unusual 32 center-2-electron covalent π-bonding. The paper is just published in Nature Synthesis. Congratulations to Dr. Jiao Tianyu!

Aromaticity in 2D fully conjugated multicyclic macrocycles! We demonstrate nearly "one-pot" synthesis and show how the macrocycles interplay with each other at different redox states. The paper is just published in JACS. Congratulations to Dr. Ren Longbin!

The first triply twisted Möbius carbon nanobelt! The enantiomers were also isolated, showing a large dissymmetric factor. This collaborative work with H. Isobe's team is now published in Nature Synthesis. Congratulations to Dr. Fan Wei!
